Why I do this

I walked into my first gym in 1996. I was 13, and I never really walked out.

Something clicked. I kept going back, I kept learning, and training turned into the thing I could not imagine my life without.

Then life added a plot twist. I live with Type 1 diabetes and coeliac disease. If you have ever tried to stay in shape while your body has other plans, you know how it goes: more planning, more patience and a lot of trial and error. I have been there, and I still am.

Here is the upside. Working around my own health made me a better coach. It pushed me to learn new techniques, test what really works and never stop picking up new skills. I am not the type to stand still, and I am not about to start.

I first qualified in 2009 and have been coaching ever since, apart from a step back when Covid hit in 2020. Now I am back doing what I love: helping people feel stronger, whatever life has thrown at them.

So if your body does not play by the rulebook, you are in the right place. Mine does not either.
